As a plastic surgeon who is a member of various associations of plastic surgeons in Switzerland, I perform breast procedures for women who wish to enhance or restore their breasts.
I also perform breast surgeries for those who need correction following trauma or cancer. My patients often feel more confident and more beautiful after their procedure.
Here are some of the most popular breast surgeries I offer:
Breast augmentation
Breast augmentation is the most common type of breast surgery. It involves inserting silicone or saline implants to increase the volume of the breasts, improve their shape and firmness, or restore their volume after breastfeeding. Breast augmentation can be performed under general anesthesia, under local anesthesia with sedation (you will be awake but relaxed), or in an outpatient surgery center without sedation if you have given consent for this procedure. The doctor will make an incision under each nipple and insert one or two implants through this opening into each breast pocket created by removing excess fatty tissue inside your chest cavity (the subpectoral plane).
Breast lift
The breast lift is a surgical procedure that lifts and reshapes the breasts. The goal of breast lift is to reduce sagging, restore lost volume and improve the shape of the breasts. Breast lift is usually performed on healthy women who have lost skin elasticity as a result of pregnancy, weight fluctuations or age-related changes. Breasts can also stretch after the birth of a child, as they enlarge during pregnancy and subsequently shrink, which can lead to sagging over time if not corrected by such a procedure. than a breast lift. The actual procedure involves removing excess fat from under the armpits, the so-called “lateral chest flaps” (or sometimes “pectoralis major lift”), which are then used as anchor points for new tissue created from surrounding areas such as the muscles of the abdomen and lower back, so-called “lipomodeling” (also known as autologous fat transfer). This means that no foreign substances, such as synthetic materials, need to be implanted in your body – only natural tissues!
Breast reduction
Breast reduction is a procedure which consists of removing excess tissue breast, fat and skin to reshape and reduce the size of your breasts. It is also known as reduction mammaplasty or reduction mammoplasty. Breast reduction can be performed on one breast or both at the same time. If you have asymmetrical breasts (one slightly larger than the other), you may choose to have separate operations for each side if they do not match well enough after one operation.
Breast reduction may be recommended in the following cases
- Your breasts cause back pain or wrinkles in clothes because they are too large for your body shape;
- You have rashes under your arms because you wear ill-fitting bras;
- You have difficulty finding clothes that fit you well because of your large breasts;
Breast lipofilling
breast lipofilling involves taking fat from one area of the body to inject it into another. This is not a new procedure, but it has become more popular in recent years as patients become more aware of its benefits. Lipofilling can be used to create fuller breasts after breast reduction or augmentation surgery, as well as to reshape other areas such as the buttocks or thighs. Liposuction involves removing excess fat cells from areas such as the stomach, hips or thighs for use elsewhere in the body through lipofilling procedures such as the one performed in our office today! With this type of procedure we are able to take this excess fat from the areas mentioned above (stomach, hips, etc.) and reinject it into places such as the breasts where there is not enough of volume naturally. When it comes to breast surgery, there is nothing “purely cosmetic”. Breast augmentation can be life-changing for women who want to feel more comfortable in their body or dress better. For others, breast reduction may be necessary due to physical pain caused by overly large breasts and/or back problems resulting from carrying excessive weight on the chest throughout the day – a common problem among middle-aged women who have had children. If you are considering any type of breast procedure (including a reduction), be sure to find an experienced surgeon with extensive training and experience with this type of procedure, especially if you want results that last in time !
